Charlene Erks, RN

Charlene is the epitome of what a nurse should be. She has compassion, empathy, and understating of what a patient needs when they are sick or not feeling well. Doctor visits are a nervous time for me, I don't especially enjoy them. My blood pressure always rises. Charlene will take it a 2nd time after I've relaxed a little and I appreciate her doing that -- not all nurses will give you that 2nd chance to calm down a little and re-do that blood pressure. It may seem like a trivial thing, but it means a lot to me.

It is a combination of many "little things" that make her such a good and caring nurse. She may be busy but takes the time to listen and not "cut you off". I feel like I'm the most important person to her; she gives me her all. She listens, she cares, she understands my "quirks" and accepts me just as I am, without judgments. She relays my messages to Dr. D and always gets back to me to tell me what he says. She is prompt with drug refills to the pharmacy, I never have to ask twice.

As I said, she is the epitome of what a nurse should be in my opinion. She compliments Dr. D and together they make an excellent team. I would not want any other nurse. Her greeting smile entering the room tells me she's there for me. I appreciate her so much, hands-down she deserves recognition!
