Charlene Masangkay-Samson has been a nurse at Washington Hospital since 2002 where she works on 4 West, a Medical Surgical Oncology Unit. Charlene is a Staff Nurse III whose shift spans both nights and days. Charlene’s genuine care is evident in her words and in her actions. She makes patients feel heard, puts the anxious patient at ease and helps both patients and families understand treatment. Charlene calls patients after discharge to assure they have everything they need at home to care for themselves and answers their questions they might have after discharge (as part of 4 West Call back program). Congratulations to Charlene a well deserved Honor!
