Charles showed caring, compassion, and concern, and he was very knowledgeable and experienced.
My husband was in ICU for 10 days following his jaw replacement cancer surgery. The first few days out of surgery were rocky, to say the least, while the doctors worked to figure out the right combination of pain medication for his needs. Charles was my husband’s nurse the first 2 nights in ICU and many other days as well. In fact, on the days when he was on duty, but not assigned to my husband, he would stop in and check on him. Charles was phenomenal from the first night he cared for my husband, until he helped load my husband up when he was moved to a different unit. Charles exemplifies everything you hope for in a nurse. He showed caring, compassion, and concern, and he was very knowledgeable and experienced. From the first night, he put me and my husband at ease. Charles was very attentive and answered any and all questions that I had. Charles kept a close watch on my husband and gave him exceptional care. He kept him clean and as comfortable as possible given the circumstances. He helped to make a stressful situation bearable. I will be eternally grateful to Charles for the excellence he gave to the love of my life in his time of need. Charles is truly an asset to Dell Seton Medical Center, and he deserves to be recognized for it.
