Charles Kruvelis, BSN, RN

My husband, D, was in a cycling accident, and our world was instantly turned upside down. He was admitted to the trauma ICU, and we were greeted by Charles. He took the time to introduce himself to each of us. He was kind, caring, and his calm nature helped provide comfort in a time of uncertainty. He explained all of the monitors and meds and everything they were doing and why he took such loving care with D’s comfort and appearance - it was unbelievable. We were all in shock and disbelief, and Charles was the calm in our storm. Throughout the entire visit, he was our constant, steady rock. He took time alone with me and got to know D and me. Charles always made sure D was taken care of, and so were we. Near the end, he quietly cared for D with such loving attention. He allowed us the time and space to grieve in our own ways. He worked on his day off to be there for D and the family. Words cannot express how grateful, thankful, and blessed we all are to have such a fine nurse as Charles with us. Keep up the great care. We love you, Charles.
