Recently I was a hip replacement patient at Manatee Memorial Hospital. At one point I was having a pain crisis and I was supported by nurse Chuck Whittington who was outstanding. He was an angel to me during those night time hours. He recognized the problem, got the timing of the medications perfect, was full of care and compassion and professionalism. He pulled me out of agony to where I could smile with him. I will forever remember his kindness, his expediency, and humanness throughout that night. And, when he was my nurse for the next night, I knew I was in great care. He should be a model for other nurses. This gentleman is awesome and amazing.
