Charlotte did everything possible to make my dad’s stay at Mercy the best one possible. She always ensured he had a smile on his face before she left his room. My dad has speech issues, and when the family told her, he could understand when you write it down. She always asked and then confirmed in writing her questions to my father. My dad felt lonely; however, Charlotte made him feel comfortable and at home during his stay. Charlotte developed a wonderful rapport with my father and made him feel safe even during the scariest times that he encountered as part of his stay. This meant so much to him and to us. She took extra time with him, and it helped him gain his independence. Thank you for being our shining star, Charlotte. We can’t thank you enough for being there for our dad.
