Charlotte was extraordinary, to say the least. She provided amazing care - both physically and mentally to my husband and was so very supportive to me, his very upset and concerned wife. She made the time to explain everything she was doing and what others were doing and why - for both of us. She employed a light sense of humor in dealing with my husband - which was perfect for his personality. She made a very unexpected, uncomfortable, and somewhat alarming situation one which both of us could handle and understand. We are both educated people as well as being first responders ourselves, so we are quite aware of the seriousness of his cardiac event. She recognized this immediately and gave us both step by step information, expectations, etc. She delivered hugs to me when so needed, demonstrating real compassion, and understanding of the situation and my emotions. She seemed to intuitively get our emotional needs at the time and responded accordingly. It is hard to verbalize here just how admirable her knowledge, demeanor, understanding, and empathy were. But she was more than impressive indeed. My husband could not have selected another nurse who would have been more appropriate understanding empathetic care and knowledgeable. She deserves the highest accolades she is a wonderful representation of her profession. She was professional yet personally accessible.
