June 2023 Honoree
Charlotte Pastrovicchio, MSN, RN, PCCN-CMC
It is with great pleasure that I care to inform you how wonderfully nursing supervisor Charlotte Pastrovicchio cared for me as a patient. She demonstrated a genuine desire to turn what was a stressful time for me while being admitted on June 5th, from your Emergency Department to the 8th floor to resolve a bout with kidney stones, into a calming, less anxious stay.
Charlotte, with a honed analytical skill, realized that I was struggling with a severe case of Claustrophobia in addition to my kidney stones while being confined to the 8th floor. She spoke with me reassuringly and calmly and we jointly came up with a resolving strategy that proved very successful in lowering my level 10 panic attack to near zero.
She exhibited all the professional skills, talents and most of all human compassion for a patient in need that we can only hope is emulated by all professionals on your staff. I am most grateful.
