Charlsie was so kind when we were moved from the ER to the hematology floor for ITP around 2:30 am. She was so patient and accommodating to a very tired, sick, and unhappy four-year-old. She took extra time to thoroughly explain every step of the process to us and keep us updated on procedures, lab tests, and medications. She took additional time to talk to our son about Star Wars and Disney World. During the IVIG treatment, she was required to take vitals every 15 minutes. Not only did she stay for the whole treatment, but she was also gentle and cautious not to wake the sleeping boy.

When it was her time to clock out, she had additional training to attend after her shift, but she made it a priority to go to her normal floor and come back to deliver a special Star Wars bag to our son before her training began. We appreciated her kindness, knowledge, thoroughness, and patience with us. We felt her care was above and beyond what was required.
