He consistently checked on her every so often to see if the medicine was working. He took every possible precaution to ensure that things were going well for her. He had to clean her up, and he was so respectful.
Recently, my sister was a patient at the ER at MBMC.  My sister will be 85 years old soon. Let me say, that my sister does not ambulate without assistance. She has spent more hours/days at ERs over the decades than I could ever attempt to calculate. She has encountered hundreds of nurses, techs, etc., over the years.  As one might imagine, some of the medical personnel were average, a very few were above average, and others were not that great. However, during this visit to the ER, she hit GOLD, her nurse was Chase Armstrong. She hasn’t stopped talking about how wonderful he was to her. He consistently checked on her every so often to see if the medicine was working. He took every possible precaution to ensure that things were going well for her. He had to clean her up, and he was so respectful. She always tells me about her trips to the ER or hospital, in detail.  I don’t ever recall her saying that, from start to finish, a nurse, or anyone, has been this helpful or attentive to her…ever!

She said that she told him that he worked really fast. He responded: “There are a lot of sick people in the waiting area waiting to be seen by the doctor.” So, even while taking care of her, he was concerned about the other patients. He even walked her out to her car. Her husband was with her, but he's elderly also. I am sure that sure Nurse Chase took this into consideration and thought he’d ensure that they were both taken care of.

Therefore, on behalf of my sister (the patient), my brother-in-law, and myself, we collectively wish to nominate, Chase Armstong, R.N. (nurse extraordinaire) of Miss. Baptist Medical Center, for The DAISY Award!
