Chase Rosengarten, RN

Chase arrived for his morning shift shortly after it had been discovered that my mother was bleeding internally. She had a TAVR the evening before with complications, including the need for a pacemaker, erratic blood pressure, bleeding at the site, and blood flow cut off to her leg. She had a second emergency vascular surgery that successfully re-established the blood flow.

Chase worked so hard to save my mother - giving her blood and fluids, monitoring her BP, handling different opinions of best treatment and many other things I don’t understand.

Besides skillfully handling the critical nursing needs, Chase remained caring and compassionate with mom and fearful family members. Mom stabilized and has had steady improvement. Chase encouraged and cared for Mom in a way that allowed her (and the family) to know that ‘Chase had her back.’ She felt very safe in his care. He provided many things that gave her comfort, such as lemon swabs, ice chips, popsicles, rearranging pillows, and overall attentiveness. He also challenged her to fight hard in a way that was encouraging.

Our family is forever thankful for Chase’s skill and compassion as he worked to save our mother.
