Chasidy decided to pursue the profession of nursing after watching her mother battle colon cancer. She was so impressed and inspired by the care and compassion that her mother received, she felt it was her calling to serve others. Chasidy went into nursing school when her children were eight and nine years old, to demonstrate to them it is possible to achieve your dreams of higher education at any time of your life. Chasidy's daughter drew strength from this and is currently in college with a nursing major.
