Receiving a cancer diagnosis is tough! The news alone can cause such worry and anxiety, not to mention the dread of chemo. I started my chemo journey in November and finished in March 2022. Not one time was I afraid or unsettled during my treatments, thanks to the incredible nursing staff. On the very first day, Chasitie Smith, made me feel comfortable. I was able to reach out to her anytime, day or night, on her personal cell, and she would listen to me and help manage my side effects, contacting my doctor as needed. Chasitie was and is a ray of sunshine when needed the most. Before cancer, she was an acquaintance.. now, I call her my friend!
