I came into the ER for the third time with awful pain from a 6mm kidney stone. I ended up having to have surgery, and the pain afterward was unbearable. I was crying all day long and clenching a pillow. Nothing was working to take my pain away. During my stay, I had several nurses, but Chasity was different. Immediately, she saw how much pain I was in and did everything in her power to help me. Chasity set an alarm on her phone as a reminder to give me pain medication. She noticed I was not eating and assisted me to choose foods I would eat. She talked to me and stayed to listen. She let me cry, vent, cuss, and during that time she remained calm and present. Chasity genuinely cares. From this interaction with Chasity, my 12-year-old daughter wants to be a nurse. Thank you, Chasity.
