Shay does amazing things…. And she doesn't even realize what she's done. Tonight, a confused and agitated patient came to the floor. The patient was swinging at nurses and aides, and while some staff went to grab restraints, Shay talked to the patient calmly and quietly, explaining to her she was sick and that we were trying to help her get better. By the time another nurse came back with restraints, the patient was calm, thanks to Shay and her calm, quiet demeanor. Shay is a great addition to our staff, and we are so lucky to have her!
