February 2013 Honoree
chelsea carter, BSN, RN
Chelsea Carter was nominated for the DAISY Award by a former patient’s daughter. In the nomination she wrote,
I cried when after 4 days Chelsea left. She had not only been helpful and caring with my mother, she was a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to me and explained things which were so confusing to my father and me. DNR & DNI directives are very emotional and she helped and comforted us. St. Luke’s is so fortunate to have such a wonderful, uplifting RN.
