I was admitted (for a second time in two months) to Portland VA Hospital. I was diagnosed with an infectious blood disease. I was lucky enough to be admitted to the 5th-floor ward D. Chelsea took charge of my care with complete professionalism. Any issue that needed to be addressed and was done so completely and efficiently. She was always making sure my comfort was the top priority, from chapstick to warm blankets. It was obvious that her experience and knowledge were respected by her coworkers. She made sure my wife’s needs were met as well. Her communication skills left no questions as to the directions that needed to be followed. Her calming demeanor was very reassuring to me as well as her coworkers. She is definitely an asset to the VA.
