Chelsea Elkins, RN

While doing my leader rounds, I encountered a family who could not speak more highly of Chelsea Elkins. The patient came to our unit and it was decided to put her on comfort measures during her stay. As the family stayed by her side day and night, Chelsea shone a light in their dark time. Tears flowed from their eyes as the family recalled all that Chelsea had done for them. It was not easy to put into words all that Chelsea had done and what it meant to them. The daughter said she had never met anyone like Chelsea in all her 46 years. Though losing their mother was difficult, Chelsea brought great comfort and compassion that soothed the ache. She exemplified the BayCare Values and left an indelible mark on the family's lives.
