Chelsea McMasters, RN

This amazing nurse cared for my father on his last night before surgery at UCSD Jacobs Medical Center. He was an overflow patient and was not her primary specialty, but you would not have known it by the skill, care, and expertise she provided. She gave my father the most dignified last night he could ask for. She was a clear, supportive communicator, a great patient advocate, and a loving supporter of our whole family.

As an ICU nurse myself, there is no greater peace than knowing that our family members are receiving excellent care in the most critical of moments. My brother noted her thoughtful, positive approach while providing impactful care. She was always two steps ahead of what would come next and connected with our father in a comforting and supportive way. Thank you Chelsea, for sharing your warmth, wisdom, and kindness with our family. You make a big difference in the lives of all you touch.
