Chelsea has been recognized by a patient's daughter for the extraordinary care and compassion she displayed for him. Chelsea had the privilege of caring for this patient the last three nights of his life. The patient's daughter, who is also a nurse, recognized that Chelsea was able to do so much more for her father and his family that expanded beyond just completing the medically focused technical aspects.

She writes, "My dad was a jokester and Chelsea picked up on that right away. She joked with my dad as well as took care of him with so much care. She was so great at making my dad comfortable and keeping his spirits up. We were so glad Chelsea was able to be with our dad in the final moments. She told us she could tell he was a special person by all those around him and she grew to care for him as she got to know him. She told us he smiled just before he took his last breath. Chelsea said she never seen that before. That is something I will cherish forever, it makes me think he is safe and passed peacefully. Most of the things Chelsea did for my dad and our family were little things, but those were the things that mean the most. She is the epitome of nursing care. She always spoke with such a sweet voice and was so gentle with my dad. Chelsea is a ray of sunshine. She laughed and cried with us. She is an AMAZING nurse! Thanks to Chelsea for making the hardest day of my life a tad better just knowing she was with him."
