Chelsee received report that a patient was ready for discharge and her papers just needed to be reviewed. After assessing the patient, Chelsee didn't feel comfortable discharging her. This exemplifies Chelsee as a nurse. She used her clinical judgment to advocate for her patient. Upon assessment from another ER doctor and further testing, the patient was found to be in septic shock and admitted to the ICU. Without Chelsee as this patient's nurse, she may have died. Chelsee is not only a great nurse for her patients but a motivated and strong team member.
