Chelsey was an amazing nurse to my husband! And although I am sure everyone says that about their nurse I cannot express enough of my gratitude towards her in any way shape or form in what she did for me or my family! Here is my story:
My husband was admitted to the MICU with complications of COVID. He and I did not want him to go on a ventilator however each day he continued to decline and it was with great sadness that we made the decision to put him on the ventilator. I cannot tell you how devastating this decision was for family members to make to not be able to be bedside to not be able to see them or touch them for days/weeks at a time! I would call every day several times a day. Two weeks later, my husband had Chelsey as his nurse and she was the first one to ask if I wanted to see him and offered to let me FaceTime with him so he could hear my voice! She went above and beyond to make sure that he and I were taken care of both physically and mentally! Chelsey is an amazing nurse she shows amazing compassion and empathy for the patient and the family she is caring for! During this time of uncertainty when we cannot be with our loved ones she has gone above and beyond to make sure that we are in the know and I cannot thank her enough for saving my husband's life by helping to get him off of the ventilator and I truly believe if she hadn't of been his nurse that day he may very well still be in the ICU today!!
