Her values were evident in the way Chentile interacted and provided care for my husband. He had been in the intensive care unit and acute care for 3 weeks. He started out intubated, had a tracheostomy, G tube, surgery, and then dialysis started. Our family was devastated.
Chentile is a gold standard nurse. Chentile was warm and caring. When my husband was getting discouraged, Chentile held his hand. She encouraged him and reminded him of all the improvements he had made. She tearfully told him how happy she was that he was well enough to go to the step-down unit.
