Cheri Farmer, RN

My mother was transferred from another hospital to CHI St. Vincent in the middle of the night. When we arrived, we were in the ER for a short time and were sent upstairs to a room. Around 10pm a surgeon told us he was going to do surgery. We live over 2 hours away. My father was driving a truck, and my brother was around 3 hours away. They took my mother for surgery around 12. She was in surgery for around 6 hours. Nurse Cheri knew that I was alone. She came down to the surgery waiting room to check on me. I was all alone, and the receptionist for the waiting room went home for the day. Cheri came and made sure I had food and drinks while checking on my mom. I have never had an RN go out of her way to show us she cares.
