Cheri demonstrated her expertise and diffused our concerns completely because there were undeniable results attributed to her work.
My wife and I were admitted into the Labor/Delivery unit following a recommendation from her OB/GYN for delivery via induction. The first 24 hours were uneventful; I know there are the standard indicators that nurses monitor that show delivery progress and what these indicators showed was that my wife was very, very far out. While the nurses that tended to my wife demonstrated their knowledge of carrying these standards out promptly, I felt that my wife was a part of the anomalies and these standards didn’t yield desirable results. I felt that we needed a more detailed, curated approach to help us get to the finish line. That’s where Cheri McMullen comes in. She immediately took initiative with the aim of understanding my wife’s progress during the time that preceded her, understanding my wife’s current state through very well-crafted, insightful questions and formulated a detailed method with clearly defined goals that she intends to achieve. She wasn’t going through a motion, she was going on a mission. I was amazed that she understood that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach in professional lines of work and that careful analysis was crucial to achieve results in anomalous cases. Immediately, I started to see progress at an exponential rate. Cheri demonstrated her expertise and diffused our concerns completely because there were undeniable results attributed to her work. I expressed my gratitude to her and mentioned how contrasted the progress was before and after her involvement. She replied “I just really love my job” and that’s when it dawned on me: all the knowledge in world within a profession can land you in high places but being passionate about your profession is what gets you to your pinnacle and this was a very valuable life lesson that I learned just by watching Cheri doing what she loves.
