My mom had recently started chemotherapy treatments at Harold Leever. Her first treatment was filled with anxiety and fear – especially since she had to go through it without the support of any family. Cherie was her saving grace. After the treatment, my mom’s words were “it was wonderful. Cherie was my angel. I was shaking because I was so scared, but she took the time and talked me through everything despite the fact that she was so incredibly busy.” My mom has been back for additional treatments and each time Cherie has been there for her. Cherie truly exemplifies caring, compassion, knowledge, and professionalism. My family and I can’t express the gratitude we have for the gentle caring touch Cherie has given to my mom. She not only helps ease the anxiety that my mom has walking into the treatment area but also shares her knowledge. She goes above and beyond to make my mom feel safe in the presence of a frightening medical diagnosis. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
