We commend Cherie Parker for her Critical Thinking, Evidence Based Practice, Leadership Relationships and Caring and Technical Expertise. I was scheduled for a 2-hour biopsy and unfortunately developed Pneumothorax. I was not able to eat or drink all day, was in pain and had to have x-rays taken every 2 hours. It was very difficult to find a doctor to read my x-rays but Cherie stayed on it and continued to follow up and page a doctor. Cherie was very caring and did what she could to make me comfortable. I had to have a chest tube placed at 9:15 pm and Cherie was due to be off shift at 9pm. Cherie stayed with me. I really appreciated that Cherie did not leave. She wanted to help me get situated for a long evening. My health was not the best that day but Cherie made it as bearable as possible by treating us as people not just patient and visitor. She is a real asset to your health system!
