Cherie is a very giving and sweet nurse. She always puts her best foot forward no matter what the situation. Cherie goes above and beyond not only her nursing duties, but her teamwork as well. Cherie keeps up on better ways to help our participants, if they need new medical equipment, assistance with medicines or home care. There have been several instances in which Cherie has helped patients with places / people to assist them. Many of our patients have little means or family, but she takes the time to help and investigate how to help them even if she has to be on the phone for long periods of time. I can go to Cherie if I feel a patient comes into the clinic not doing well, she drops everything to help and ensure the patients safety. She is always willing to help with the needs of our patients as well as being an exceptional team member. I look up to Cherie and feel she exemplifies what it means to be a NURSE? She will help the MA's room patients, perform EKGs and do chart prep work. She believes in us. I trust that I can come to her with anything I need to know, or if a patient is not doing well, she will be there to help. She will even call patients to check on them. Cherie is the epitome of a DAISY award nurse!
