I have had a not-so-good health year so I have had plenty of experiences with nurses this past year. Cheryl took the time to fully explain everything to me. To make sure that I was ok with everything and that I understood everything that was happening. I was being prepared for what I consider to be the final part of my healing process for the year. I was excited yet very nervous given how things have gone for me this past year. Cheryl made me feel so much at ease that I felt that she was looking at me like her sister. Every action and word that she said was as if she was saying it to a loved one and you could definitely tell that she truly cared and wanted the best for me. She answered all of my husband’s questions even though she had already answered them for me. It didn’t bother her to make either of us feel comfortable with what was going to be happening. Not only did her care for me shine through and comfort me but the care for my possessions and helping to prepare my husband as he was quite concerned and worried about the surgery. Cheryl is a nurse whom other nurses should strive to be like. She goes the extra mile to show she cares and makes a patient feel like family and that everything is going to be all right.
