Cheryl Collins constantly reflects the highest compassionate and empathic care in her daily interactions with our often-challenging patients. Our patients love her! That compassion also extends to the team and DISD staff. She is an integral part of our team. She is an outspoken advocate for high-quality care for our patients and doesn't hesitate to address issues noted in a diplomatic way. She is extremely knowledgeable of Parkland rules and regulations and frequently acts as a mentor for her nursing peers. She is hardworking and strives to make sure quality of care meets the highest standards. Cheryl collaborates well with DISD staff and has participated in many community outreach programs in schools, shelters to enhance and improve health care education for teens and adults who work with them. She reflects all the qualities of the DAISY Award recipients!
