From the moment I met her, I could feel her care for me as a patient (not a room number or just another day on the job). Cheryl Garcelon has a Southern belle beauty and charm inside and out. I felt instantly that I could talk to her about how I felt physically and mentally. She was such a delight to meet. She stayed the same throughout my hospital stay. It was never a perfunctory hello, but one of friendliness. She calmed me by her calmness when a situation seemed serious as if to say: "I'll tell you when to worry". I love daisies and I love what this award means, not just a frivolous recognition, but one with deep meaning and not one that I take lightly. Cheryl is professional; she never forgets the personal touch.
