Cheryl Hale, BSN, RN
Cheryl has met the criteria multiple times in caring for my child, who is a patient in the Immunology Clinic at Children's Minneapolis. In terms of Advocate and Communicator - she has worked with Kabuki Syndrome researchers outside of Minneapolis Children’s to obtain and ship blood and urine samples to further research. This is a complicated process given the multiple parties and labs involved, and the time and privacy-sensitive nature of collecting samples for research. In terms of empathy and heartfelt, she helped arrange for a time-sensitive COVID test given our family's complicated scheduling needs and came through when we worried our child might not be able to go to camp without those results. Multiple times, she has taken the time to review and explain lab results with me and reassure or provide action steps. In terms of Role Model, we observed her wonderful behavior teaching a new nurse who was shadowing our appointment. Cheryl is awesome and a true DAISY Nurse. Thank you, Cheryl!
