The wife of a patient contacted the hospital CNE. The CNE writes:
I responded to the message from the wife of a recent patient. She called to share her highly favorable experience with Cheryl Leppi, RN. She reported that she and her husband were very frightened and distressed given his new onset respiratory distress post open heart surgery.
The patient's wife described Cheryl as "the most caring and professional nurse they have ever encountered across the country. She is a godsend to the profession. She explained everything in detail, listened and answered all of our questions. I became immediately relieved knowing she was there, even with my husband's heart rate in the 30s and 40s. She is an absolute Angel in Scrubs."
