Cheryl was recognized while working in the SICU by the husband of a patient who had undergone her sixth back surgery. He shared, "Cheryl consistently does an excellent job. She has a kind and compassionate spirit that permeates everything she does. No request, big or small, is ever a problem or annoyance, and she is so supportive and has a caring touch or encouraging word." He went on to describe Cheryl as "an example of nursing at its finest."
