Cheryl Minix was my nurse navigator this past year after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She not only has been helpfulin keeping me on track with appointments and answering questions, but she has been a true patient's advocate.
Cheryl regularly goes above and beyond, she follows up with doctors, she takes my questions or concerns seriously and does everything in her power to make me feel as comfortable as possible. She attends appointments, she answers late night texts of worry, she gets more information from doctors if I've forgotten to ask. All the while, she does this with compassion and patience and always with a smile.
I cannot emphasize enough how important she has been to me in my treatment of breast cancer. And now as I make the move to a Survivor, I can truly credit Cheryl with helping me get there, not just physically, but emotionally as well.
