Cheryl truly embodies all it is to be a great nurse. If I am unsure or need validation, I know I can go to Cheryl for a respectful and mindful response. Her calming presence is essential on our busy unit. She never complains about busy days or lending an extra hand.

Recently we admitted a very sick patient with a congenital heart defect. We never know what to expect when this type of patient comes from the OR. Cheryl approached the admission with confidence. Her preparedness facilitated a smooth transition from the OR, allowing physicians to communicate their needs and for the nurses to complete the tasks in a timely manner. Ultimately, this teamwork allowed the family to be reunited with their child sooner.
