As a daughter and watcher, I had to step away at times due to other responsibilities. During those times, I felt an immense sense of relief knowing that my father was in the capable hands of the duty staff, Ms. Fuentes, RN.

What truly sets her apart is her proactive approach. When my father's laboratory results came in, Ms. Fuentes, RN, immediately referred him to the attending physician, ensuring no time was lost in adjusting his care plan. This initiative undoubtedly contributed to his timely treatment and showcased Ms. Fuentes' attentiveness and understanding of the gravity of my father's condition.

Beyond her medical responsibilities, Ms. Fuentes, RN, demonstrated extraordinary empathy and dedication. Whether it was offering kind words during moments of uncertainty, adjusting my father's position to ensure his comfort, or checking on him even beyond her duty schedule, her actions reflected a deep commitment to her profession. She treated my father not just as a patient, but as a person, with genuine kindness and compassion that went far beyond the call of duty.

Because of this, I truly believe she embodies what it means to be a DAISY Award Honoree. I can think of no better way to recognize her extraordinary efforts than through this prestigious recognition.
