My wife had a very hard delivery, our son required 5 hours of pushing and eventually a team-effort with forceps extraction to be born and it was pretty traumatic. I want Cheryl to know how much we appreciate her wisdom, presence, and compassion; she made this birth possible. When Cheryl entered the room sometime in the dark hours, we knew a new presence was with us. Cheryl brings such a calm, commanding, and strong presence; she changed the game. When she left, we felt her absence and we were just holding on. When she returned, we made progress again, instantly. What I recognized in Cheryl are extraordinary leadership qualities: calm, confidence, strength, directive voice, a presence of deep wisdom that lets you know you can trust her completely. I feel grateful that she was there for my wife. Tell her the baby is healthy, nursing well, sleeping well, and no longer has a cone head! And my wife is healing well.
