Cheryle Tait, CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion), is a highly regarded health care professional recognized for exemplifying the Mission, Vision and Values of SFMC by delivering extraordinary evidence-based patient care every day. In her role as Peripheral Central Catheter Nurse (PICC RN), Cheryle consistently collaborates with the health care team to meet the patient's needs, achieve common goals, and improve care.
Cheryle spearheaded the PICC Line Improvement Team and worked with nursing education and the units to provide education and share teachable moments with front-line nurses. As she inserts PICC lines, she helps to identify and mitigate risk factors that might compromise the patient's outcome.
Cheryle's manager, Dawn Torress-Cook said, "In the two short years Cheryle has been at SFMC, she has made great strides in pioneering the PICC program and establishing best practice. This was accomplished through her perseverance and her 'I will serve with my heart' attitude."
