Chi is a consistently excellent RN who lives the Wellstar creed of treating patients the way you would want to be treated.
Chi is being nominated by several different team members because of her excellent nursing skills but also because she is the ultimate team player. Our Nurse Manager relayed this about Chi:

Chi recently was asked to work on the floor as a Patient Care Tech and she never batted an eye and will always do whatever it takes to keep the Rehab patients safe and well cared for. Chi is always selfless and always competent.

She is very knowledgeable and patient with both clients and their family members. Every one of her patients compliments her on her excellent care and ability to make them feel like they are her only patient no matter how busy she may be.

Another story shared by on OT on the Rehab Unit about Chi was that she went above and beyond in a difficult patient situation. The patient had a brand new colostomy and everyone was having trouble getting the proper seal with the ostomy bag. The Wound Care nurse had just finished working on it and when the OT entered, the bag was already off and the patient did not want to get up. Chi stopped what she was doing and went to assess the situation. She worked closely at it and worked for a long time to make sure that she got the right fit this time. She spent as much time as was needed to get the job done right and the fit lasted longer than it had when even the wound care nurse had worked on it.

Multiple staff members relayed the following about Chi. Chi is always the first person to offer to help even when it doesn’t involve her own patients. One person relayed that she even left team conference when a tech asked for someone to help with a patient that needed to use the bathroom urgently.

Chi is always on high alert. Her ability to multitask without getting overwhelmed, angry, or agitated is a thing of beauty to watch. Chi is graceful, patient, knowledgeable, funny, and honestly gives 100% to each patient 100% of the time. She treats each patient as if they were her own family.

Chi is an amazing nurse. She is very attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely hard working. Any time my patients have her as a nurse, I know that they are in excellent hands. If I were in the hospital, I would want Chi as my nurse.
