The BHC CAP team has been diligent in caring for numerous autistic patients at the same time. One child requiring 1:1 supervision around the clock was here with us for many days. The other one has been with us requiring 2:1 coverage. The team has endured physical injury to themselves at times attempting to manage the behaviors exhibited by the patients. However, their spirit and drive to continue to provide the best care possible has been unrelenting. The BHC CAP team shift to shift continued to focus on providing dignified and humane care around the clock. The team used their imaginations to discover the likes of the children and strategies that would assist the patients to remain in the least restrictive environment. This team is interdisciplinary with clinicians, nurses, pharmacy, and social workers all sharing their perspectives daily to promote optimal outcomes for these two patients. The team even assisted by helping out at the Children's hospital when one of them had to go over for a few days. This team continues to be outstanding as they stay engaged and ready to help patients with complex and challenging needs.
Thank you for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
