ChildServe Homes Nursing Team

When ChildServe received COVID-19 vaccines, the young adults in the group homes had yet to have access to the vaccine. With thanks to Kelsey, Nicki, and Courtney, many of the young adults in the group homes were able to be vaccinated. It took a lot of coordination, in a short period of time, for them to determine interest, get consents from guardians, coordinate timing, and make sure all necessary precautions were in place. Due to the short stability of the vaccine, each round of vaccines was given in one day, which required traveling from one house to the next. This team made sure that they had all precautions in place to limit the risk of illness transmission. They went above and beyond, taking time out of their normal busy workday, and when unforeseen circumstances arose, they were flexible in their schedules to ensure that they did everything they could to administer the vaccines to keep these young adults safe and healthy.
