Chioma Anochie, BSN, RN

Recently, I spent 3 days at AHP anxiously awaiting test results from MRI, CT scan, ECHO cardiogram. As a physician, it was a tense wait. Any small kindness or show of concern was welcomed and deeply appreciated. Chioma Anochie was unfailingly kind and thoughtful. Although the staff were fully masked and gloved, she managed to "smile with her eyes." Whether she was passing meds, taking BPs, or injecting insulin, she was a consummate professional. You could see she enjoyed her job/profession and she was good at it. Chioma always asked if there was anything I needed. Indeed, they were small acts of kindness, but it helped ease the mind of the worry of what a stroke could do. As a retired physician and public health administrator, I was aware of the potential of a stroke. Chioma was on top of her game, eased my stay, and made me feel welcomed. She is an asset to Atrium Health Pineville.
