My mother was admitted recently. Her COVID test was positive and I was not allowed to visit with her. She was confused and was experiencing an acute neurological event that left her unable to do anything for herself or express her needs. Chiquita sensed the anxiety that my sister and I were experiencing and quickly developed a plan to ensure we knew our mother would receive appropriate care. She later contacted us after her assessment. The compassion and empathy demonstrated, provided comfort and assurance that my mother's unexpressed needs would be met. Providing peace for my sibling and me. She demonstrates the qualities of a DAISY Nurse, Compassion and Empathy. Thank You.
