Chithra is an asset to NMC as she is an exemplary nurse with a heart of gold.
I was battling to talk when I arrived at the ED, but Chitra was able to calm my fears and make me as comfortable as possible. Chithra looked after me so well and never once made me feel that I was taking too much time.
She held my hand during my blood tests and again when the cannula was being inserted. She sat with me in the ward during the IV antibiotics. When her shift over at around midnight, she even offered to stay the night on the couch of my room!
I was blown away by this caring gesture.
The following evening when I returned to the hospital for my next IV antibiotics, Chithra popped in to see me. My husband and daughter, B, were with me. B loved Chithra and wouldn't leave her side. Chithra was so sweet with B and took her for a couple of walks whilst my IV was running. To top it all off Chitra came and gave B gifts from her recent trip to Goa. I couldn't believe that this incredible lady was giving us gifts after already giving me the gift of such kindness whilst I had been ill.

When I arrived at ED, Chithra came to see me, I felt as though my own mother was there.
