Chloe Amoth, RN

Chloe Amoth immediately made us feel at ease about our dad’s care after his heart procedure. He is hard of hearing and very stubborn, and he was taking a long time to come out of anesthesia afterwards. Chloe blended professionalism and warmth in a way that both kept our dad safe and inspired him to chase each new recovery milestone with determined enthusiasm. She seemed genuinely driven to help him improve and recover incrementally every moment of every day he spent in her care.

She consistently went above and beyond, even offering to help personally track down some of his belongings (which had gone missing between the operating room and the ICU) during her lunch hour. She also found a way to communicate clearly with Dad without being patronising (which can sometimes happen when trying to speak with someone hard of hearing) and picked up on how to connect with him in a way that earned his trust right away.

My sister, Mom, and I all felt she was somehow also caring for *us* through the way she cared for Dad, and we were so grateful for the way she included us in the journey. Dad recovered impressively quickly, and we credit Chloe with making it possible for him to undergo his third open-heart surgery successfully at 77 years old. We simply cannot give Chloe enough praise for her work.
