Chloe Clayton is the most supportive ward manager, leader, and colleague. She will never take credit for anything and says it’s not her, it’s her team. She stays positive and approachable and is a true inspiration. She has improved pressure care with her open and honest chats and sheer driven determination. She’s never not on duty and takes her time to check in with every staff member. She is the reason that we stay in stroke as her positive can-do attitude is infectious. She wants the best for all of us and really pushes us as a team to develop. She always pushes for what is right and fair and teaches us all how to lead by example.

Through her kindness, she resolves most situations. She is a true inspiration to all who meet her, a breath of fresh air. Her compassion is endless. She sees every patient and their relatives and honestly cares. She unites us as a team, encouraging collaboration of team members from the respect and care she shows us all from our domestic staff through to our consultants, she treats us all equally and her empathy and support never falters. I’m not sure how she manages to stay so positive and support us all but she does, never resentful.

As a nurse, I have learned a lot from her of how to always see the best in people and it creates a lovely ward environment. All our relatives would agree with how supportive she is. She is just a wonderful human and if the world had more Chloe’s, it would be a better place. I feel she epitomizes the Leeds way values as the most incredible manager.
