Chloe had endless patience and kindness in the most difficult situation we could possibly face as a family.
Chloe was GS’s nurse for approximately one week and she was incredible to my brother and to us, his family, during that time. Chloe had endless patience and kindness in the most difficult situation we could possibly face as a family. She was attentive, available, professional, and compassionate. She answered our questions and concerns while giving my brother the best care possible.
She stayed with us in the dark moments of telling our dear brother that he was soon to pass from this world. She gave us medical options as explained by the doctors, allowing us to make the difficult choices but providing guidance. She listened to our concerns and responded in a highly knowledgeable and caring manner.
Since visitors were restricted, we could only have two members of our family at a time. Chloe followed hospital procedure but also was caring to us. Chloe kept her sense of humor when Greg attempted to joke, and they even teased at some of the absurdity of his situation. It became somewhat of a ritual between the two of them.
She never felt fake or frustrated. When there was an unpleasant clean-up necessary she tackled it in such a way that he never lost his dignity or was embarrassed. Chloe joined us in making our brother/uncle’s last days as good as possible.
Thank you Chloe, we will be forever grateful for you. You were truly an angel to us all. You went far beyond our expectations of a medical professional while doing your job in an exemplary manner and showing love for people when most needed. It is my belief that Chloe is one of the best – no exceptions.
