Chloe provided me, my husband, and our new baby with the best care after our delivery. After a 25-hour labor, hemorrhage, and being awake for over 60 hours, Chloe was coming onto her shift when I was at my worst. My husband and I hadn't slept due to the long labor, a new baby, visitors, testing, etc. When Chloe came to check on me at the beginning of her shift, I was beyond exhausted. Our door hadn't stopped opening, and we couldn't get any rest.

I was in tears from difficulty breastfeeding, sleep deprivation, and general post-partum stress. Chloe stood beside me and held my hand while I cried and wiped my tears for me. She never once judged me and comforted me while my tears poured. After struggling to feed my baby enough, she helped me give him a bottle, and she also took him for a few hours so that we could sleep. I was never concerned about the care my son had because she provided me with such great care. Chloe made sure there were no interruptions in our room so that we could actually rest. We were able to get a 5-hour stretch of sleep and woke up feeling so much better and less stressed.

Chloe's kindness, compassion, and understanding made a world of difference in our care while at the hospital. Though she may not know it, she has touched our lives forever, and we will never forget the great care she provided. My husband and I have often told people when they ask about our son's birth story, "God Bless the nurse who let us sleep and comforted us on that third night."
