Chloe Schwartz 2025, RN

After my husband was hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident, we encountered many compassionate caregivers, but nurse Chloe on the 5th floor stood out in a way we will never forget.  I’ve known many nurses who carry a quiet strength and fierce advocacy beneath a calm exterior. Chloe did not disappoint. My husband’s care involved multiple specialties and disciplines, and at times it felt overwhelming trying to understand the full picture. Chloe became our steady guide through it all. She made sure we understood each step, communicated clearly with the various teams, and ensured that nothing fell through the cracks. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and calm, confident presence helped us feel supported every step of the way.
 
What meant the most to me, though, was the peace of mind she gave me at night. Leaving his side, especially with a head injury, was one of the hardest things I had to do. Chloe thoughtfully created a care plan that set him up for a restful, safe night’s sleep, which is so crucial for recovery. I truly felt that she cared not just for his medical needs, but for his overall healing and comfort.
 
Chloe didn’t seek recognition or praise. She simply showed up, did her job with excellence, and gave us something priceless — trust, comfort, and genuine care during one of the hardest times in our lives. She is the kind of nurse who represents everything the DAISY Award stands for. We are forever grateful.
